Fulvicin is an antifungal antibiotic, used to treat ringworm and dermatophyte infections of the scalp, hair, nails and skin. The antibiotic violates the structure of the fungal cells and inhibits the reproduction process. The recommended dose for adults is 500 mg per day, while the daily dose for children is 10mg per kg of body weight. Duration of the antifungal therapy usually lasts from 2 to 12 weeks, depending on the type of the causative fungi and the infection severity.
